Oh my, I've actually seen If These Walls Could Talk! God, it was bad...
Have you ever watched Fingersmith? I have it lying around waiting to be watched, but I didn't like Tipping the Velvet all that much, so I don't know.
yea, i know. abortion and pro-life, too soiled for a topic to begin with. i saw the sequeal last year and thought, what the heck, let's try the original. as they say, original is better.
nah, i haven't seen Fingersmith. I watched Tipping the Velvet out of curiosity, plus my former housemate recomended it to me. the plot is actually flat. i didn't get much emotion from it. i've seen High Art and was totally engrossed by the story. anyways, i won't be watching anymore of that Sarah Walters-based BBC series, at least not for awhile. :)
I've actually been meaning to read a Sarah Waters novel (my friends highly recommend it), but I never seem to get around to it. I agree that the BBC adaptations aren't always very impressive (at least Tipping the Velvet wasn't) even though I have a soft spot for costume dramas...
Still, after watching all five Rocky movies in a bit over a week, I'd be happy to watch anything that doesn't have any black eyes in it!
huwaht? 5 Rocky movies? haha. that's awesome Lies. I never even thought you're up for this kind of film. I dunno. I know you like period movies with all the costumes and all that, but Rocky? woweee. My brother love Stallone and is an aficionado of all Rocky films, I just got influenced by him. I haven't watched the latest though but now that you mentioned it, i might have a Rocky marathon one of these days.
I'm basically up for anything, though I usually try to stay away from horror flicks and thrillers.
As for Rocky... My brother has the Rocky box set, so we had to watch it. The first one made me cringe, the second one made me smile, the third one had me laughing out loud and by the fourth I was actually kinda enjoying myself. Not that I'd get the DVDs myself, but still... I might even watch Rocky Balboa if ever someone sits me down in front of it. ;)
staying away from horror flicks? ah geez, it's my favorite past time. i mean i could watch a whole of it and never get tired. okay that's an exag. i could perhaps accomodate 2-3 horror flicks a day, more than that is already beyond me (i think), i dunno. another reason why i can't send you our book is that...it's all horriffic! :)
your brother and my brother they should get together one day and have a Rocky Balboa marathon...they are leaving us no choice. my brother used to watched a lot of NBA and i have no choice but to watch and sulk in the corner. later, i enjoyed it. ;)
my gad rayts addik ka!! i miss that lifestyle, pamovie movie pag walang magawa :)
i'm making a new blog, hope it gets done the soonest :)
greetings from adelaide!!
