It was in 2006 that he suggested Halong Bay. In 2007, when I get to go to Vietnam the first time he again suggested that I go to Halong Bay. But I said, I was bound for Ho Chi Minh City. In 2008, I went back to Vietnam and told him that I am going to Hanoi. It was unfortunate though that Halong Bay was not part of our itinerary. This year, just last week, I was finally in Halong Bay. As I was relaxing on the viewdeck of our boat, I told myself: "Heck, I am finally here!"
But I haven't told him yet. I couldn't seem to find the exact words to describe it to him. But he was right. Halong Bay is enchanting.
