I am back!

One famous Chinese writer (Lin Yutang) once said, “No one realizes how beautiful it is to travel until he comes home and rests his head on his old, familiar pillow.”

It’s SO true. :-)

Two weeks may not be enough for (some) hardcore travelers but for me, two weeks of being away is enough to miss my smelly pillows and my good ol’ creaky bed. I realized that just last night as I was lying down on my own bed, all smiled up while looking up at our cobwebby ceiling. :-)

Experiencing the traffic, smelling that familiar polluted city air, and hearing those proverbial language calling me, “hoy! and pssst!” make me all feel home again.

Often, I realize one important thing everytime I come back from a travel: I am appreciating the Philippines all the more. Not to say that this country is the most wonderful place in the world (because it is certainly NOT), but I am simply loving (and appreciating) it all the more. I don’t know why but I guess it is an innate thing. And like I always say, even if it’s the worst place in the world, there is nowhere else I would rather be! Yeeba.

[Postscript:]

I will be posting the details of this two-week travel once I’ve sorted the thousands of photos I have taken.

Here’s my travel route:

Manila-Thailand-Siem Reap-Pnom Pehn-Ho Chi Minh City-Singapore-Manila

Welcome back!

(:

It sure is amazing to be home because it's the sweetest place on earth; in my opinion.

Well, as an outsider I must say that I really am intrigued with the Philippines and the warmth given by the people. Everyone is so friendly over there (during my trip there last year). I may sound crazy but I do love the Philippines; it's a beautiful country, at least to me. Off topic; I miss the rides I had in the pedicabs. Haha!

:D

Welcome back, Rayts!
I didn't realize it was already two weeks, I wasn't even missing you yet (joke) :-)
Cannot wait for you to start showing off your photos, but take your time. I'm sure they'll be worth waiting for.
The route sounds most interesting.

Totally agree!... Pag umuuwi ako ng pinas... yung unang lakad ko sa baryo namin... awesome! Pansin ko lahat kahit maliliit na bagay... sarap ng feeling!
