This is the best diversion when you are "emotionally ill"

the best asanas is when your body is well aligned with your emotion, you hardly fall on your knees and it's a good feeling.

I started attending yoga classes last month, merely for the heck of it. An officemate, Miks, has been attending yoga classes and encouraged Oki and I to try it also. Oki has been wanting to loose that extra pounds so she got immediately interested. I joined merely out of curiosity. I tried it before when we were invited for a free session and I liked it but I was not able to sustain it. Until this opportunity came again.

I just had my sixth session today and it felt good. I am still a beginner that is why I am still having difficulty in keeping up with some of the (intermediate) routines but knowing my high tolerance for pain, I keep on pushing myself to my limit until I get to hold the difficult postures in a given time. As they say, be patient with your body, listen to it...in time those unflexible muscles will flex and bend, they are meant to.

I am attending two yoga classess in a week and I am hoping each day that I will be able to sustain it. So far...so good.

In yoga, your body and your mind must be in sync. They are supposed to be. Otherwise, you'll fall on your knees and your balance falter. I have been faltering and falling in my previous sessions. I laugh at myself and realized that the problem with me has always been my lack of focus.

I am just a text away

texting on the street is a bad habit

You see if there's one technology that I am truly thankful for, it has to be the cellphone.

sabi ko: E sa lagi naman ako natatawa kapag nakikita kita eh.

male buyers

Our male buyers are a bit disappointed at the displays (they're mostly for women).

female buyers

Our female buyers, on the other hand, are quite happy.

deb advertizes

Deb is enjoining people to come and visit.

Together with some “very” helpful friends, Oki and I organized a garage sale at UP Village during the weekend. The purpose of which was to gather some funds for charitable works. Oki’s initial plan was to buy some school supplies in time for the opening of the school year and buy food to feed street kids. We always passed by the Philcoa area and it is always filled with kids begging for money. Instead of giving them money, we wanted to buy them food and fill their stomach (even for a day).

After, a whole day of selling used clothes, bags, shoes, and accessories (mostly women’s), we collected a sum of 3,000 pesos. Some friends from the office, after knowing our little activity, promised to chip in some amounts to support our good cause.

Baka may gustong mag-donate dyan, tumatanggap pa kami! :-D

Have you really looked at the moon lately?

full moon in LB

Full moon taken in front of our house in Los Baños, Laguna.

full moon in QC

Full moon taken from the rooftop of our office in Diliman, Quezon City.

I took these shots during different occasions, in places that are closest to my heart. I wished I could have gotten a shot of the moon in Virac, Catanduanes so that the three places in my life would have been completed. I was born in Virac, raised and grew in Los Baños, and is working in Diliman.

Last night, Crim sent me an SMS saying: "The moon is pretty!" Then, a few minutes later another text came in. It was from Oki saying the same thing. I was already at the rooftop of our office enjoying the darkness, enjoying the same piece of joy--the full moon!
