Staying behind

seeing from afar

Staying behind from the pack enables me to see the whole picture, particularly those that I am bound to miss when I am in front. I stay behind so that I could observe you— how you move, which way you go, who you stare at, who you talk to, for how long, why…

but mostly, I stay behind so that I would know when’s the time that you look back and finally notice me from the crowd.

"Hello, tumingin ka naman sa likod kahit paminsan-minsan!"

@Dom:
para kanino? hehe. wala lang yan. para yan sa mga taong walang ibang nakikita kundi yung mga bagay na nasa harap lang nila. minsan, maganda ring tumingin sa likod, sa kaliwa, sa kanan para wala tayong ma-miss.

next year na yung next Pulag Charity Climb nila. Sana makasama ka.

@peter:
i guess the vastness of the sea reminds you of home.

@Pao:
kaso baka kapag naisipan na n'yang tumingin, wala na ako. napagod na kaka-stay behind. hehe. langya, dami kong baggage!

@Jess:
This is in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte.

@Sidney:
thanks for getting the connection.

Haha! Sino ba yun? Anyways, sometimes you see the larger picture when you're quite a distance nga. Ganda ng vastness ng photo

onga, ibang perspektibo naman. i have this particular photographer who's style is somewhat like this. laging ang emphasis ng mga images n'ya yung "vastness" ng lugar and how "little" humans are. both features good subjects for a minimalist approach in photography, wala masyadong ibang elemento. basta tao lang at yung espasyo. tapos lahat in rich, high-contrast black n white. ang galing niya kaso he stopped blogging na ata. yun nag-share lang ako, hehe.

oh thank you. your words of appreciation means a lot to me. ;-)
